• 30-minute consultation: $150 CAD + applicable taxes

The consultation does not include document review beyond what is reasonably necessary for the consultation, nor does it include any follow-up work after the consultation.

Consultations are non-refundable and do not constitute ongoing legal representation unless and until a written agreement is executed.

Once your request is submitted, I will review it and send a confirmation if the appointment can be accepted. Upon confirmation, you will receive:

• Payment instructions

• An initial client intake form to complete

• Any additional details needed prior to your consultation

The consultation will be provided at the advertised fee unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The purpose of the consultation is to review your circumstances and provide general preliminary guidance on the potential options available to you. All consultation fees are non-refundable. Requesting or attending a consultation does not create a lawyer-client relationship. No such relationship is formed unless and until I confirm in writing that I am accepting you as a client under a formal retainer agreement. Any advice provided during the consultation is based solely on the information you provide and is limited in scope.

Before confirming any consultation, a conflict check must be completed. If a conflict of interest is identified, I may be unable to proceed with the consultation.

All information you share during the consultation is treated as confidential in accordance with the rules of the Law Society of British Columbia. However, confidentiality alone does not establish an ongoing lawyer-client relationship.

Nothing discussed during the consultation should be interpreted as a guarantee of results or outcomes. Legal outcomes depend on many factors that cannot be assessed fully during an initial consultation.

If you require representation beyond the consultation, this will only occur if a separate written retainer agreement is accepted and executed. Until then, I do not act for you in any capacity, including communicating with third parties, filing documents, or taking any steps on your behalf.
